Subject: Zoo's???

Today was beautiful here!!! Finally!!! A nice autumn day (Fall for all you USA types, LOL). It was also the last day of Daniel's membership to Friends Of The Zoo here (till I rejoin him that is). So we packed up and went to the zoo for the afternoon. :) A very nice zoo we have with innovative ideas re. enclosures and breeding programmes for endangered species. :) I wore a deep green top. Hee, hee, hee.... I didn't think about it at all but that's the colour the keepers wear!!!!

Daniel was SOOOOOO impressed - everywhere we went the animals came up to the borders of their enclosures to greet me!!!!!! It took us a little to figure it out. ;-) The sealions in particular were funny - I think I could have got them to go through their regime that the keepers use to check fins, teeth and the such for me!!!! Too funny!!!

I'm very proud of our zoo here - they've moved well beyond animal exhibits to rare and endangered species protection and breeding and interesting enclosurers with the animals interests at the foremost. How does everyone else feel about their local zoos?
