What a surprise huh!

Most of the fan base I know was more interested in the show itself than the if Mulder and Scully would become romantic. THe questions of Mulders family, of Scullys cancer and of the losses she suffered were part of the story. Yes the MSR was a part of the XFiles but you were watching with blinders if thats all you saw.

As for viewers not connecting with Doggett and Reyes, you are way off base, those who had a problem where still hung up on Mulder leaving. I was connected. I loved the idea of getting to know two new charactors and the people on the X-Philes email discussion group I belong too felt the same. How can you not connect to two people who obviously shared something personal and a very deep loss together. Who came from different beginnings and very different ideals and still respected each other. hmmmm sounds familiar to me, yet different.

Unless of course you were still hung up on Mulder leaving.

The MSR had run its course. Let them go off together in some XFIle way, please, NO MARRAIGE, just let them go off together and let something else grow. Its time.

I don't mean to sound harsh IG, but you have been sounding off for the past two years how the show has gone down hill with out watching it, and you are not alone. It always bothers me when people express thier opinions with out full knowledge of what its all about. Its why it is being cancelled with out being given a chance.
