"I have a couple of flannel nighties I can't wear--hot flashes you know" whispered CW who had been sitting in a dark corner watching the events of the day. "Watching you both fight over the remote reminded me of my kids doing that" she whispered so as to not wake Kande.

"I think I will hide all the good batteries and replace them with used ones. It might slow those two down a little bit" she thought to herself. "A chocolate birthday cake could use up that bag of Christmas M & M's from the cupboard" she said aloud to KM.

"I have a box of mittens and woolen socks that I knitted last summer when it rained" said KM starting to brighten a little. Suddenly a terribly diabolical thought hit her.

"You make the cake, CW, and I have some things to do" whispered KM, still hoping that nobody would wake up the birthday girl too soon!
