"Sis," Kande says weakly, succumbing to the anesthetic, "is that you?"

"Shhhh," the person in the green mask over the lower half of her face hovers over Kande and brings a finger to her lips.

"Are you here to hold my hand?" Kande grins lopsidedly at her beloved Sis.

"Uh...yeah. Aren't you about asleep yet?" KS hides the scalpel behind her back and rolls her eyes at Stardoe who is preparing for surgery. Aunt Madge rolls in a tray with an array of sparkling metal instruments. The three give a soft cheer as Kande's eyes roll back into her head and her tongue lolls out of her mouth.

Aunt Madge takes a picture. "That should be good for something later. We'll insist this is the way she usually sleeps or she's under the influence or something."

Stardoe holds her hands in the air and wiggles her fingers. "Scalpel!" she snaps. KS starts to hand her one from her assassin utility belt and then remembers hers aren't sterilized.

A little while later, Stardoe plops Bub into KS's hand. KS turns and puts the little fella into a jar of liquid.

"Now she can't say I never gave her anything," she mutters, knowing full well Kande will install Bud in a place of honor over the bar.
