Well,today i rode all 5 of my horses.First i went out to the pasture to get Kodiak,and Liberal.I brought them in and removed their turn-out blankets.I put a fleece sheet on Liberal,and put him in his stall.He had water.
Then i hooked up Kodiak to the cross ties,groomed&tacked him up-western.We rode in the Western Pleasure arena.We just did some basic commands,and lead changes,and i even worked on some tricks he's been doing.He knows how to rear on command,now.Very dangerous,but i managed to teach it safely.We also did trotting&cantering poles.
After the hour and a half ride i brought Kodiak in,untacked,put on his fleece sheet and put him in his stall.I watered him,and gave him a flake of hay.
Next i hooked up Liberal onto the cross-ties,took of his fleece sheet,groomed and tacked him up-english.We worked in the Showjumping arena,and did 3ft and 4 ft jumps.We also went over several oxers,and worked on lead changes&counter cantering for a bit.After the hour ride,i brought Liberal in,untacked and put his cooler on.Then i put him back in his stall,and gave him a flake of hay.
Then i ventured out to the mares paddock to get the girls.i brought in Kira&Tara.I removed their turn-out blankets,and put a fleece sheet on Tara,then put her in her stall.She had water.Next i hooked up Kira to the crossties,groomed and tacked up-bareback.We rode in the English Pleasure arena.We just basically did some lead changes,give&release techniques,and jumped 2ft jumps.We also trotted over poles.
After the 45 minute ride,i brought Kira back in,untacked and put her fleece sheet on.I turned her into her stall,and gave her a flake of hay.
Then i hooked up Tara,took off her fleece sheet,groomed and tacked up-english.We went on a hack.We basically just did walking,troting,cantering&galloping.A lot of galloping.She'll be tired tomorrow!After the hour ride,i untacked Tara,slipped on her cooler and turned her into her stall.I watered her and gave her a flake of hay.
Next i headed out to get Sky from his pasture.I removed his turn-out blanket,and hooked him up to the crossties.I groomed,and tacked up-western.We worked in the Western pleasure arena and worked on his lead changes&counter cantering.I also worked on making him accept the bit more,and keeping him from refusing it.We had a good ride-MUCH better than before.he didn't buck once today:)
After the hour ride,i brought in Sky,untacked him and put on his fleece sheet.I put him in his stall and watered him plus gave him a flake of hay.
After that,i removed Liberal's & Tara's coolers and replaced them with a fleece sheet.Then i started to feed the horses,starting with Kodiak,then Liberal,Tara,and Kira,then i fed Sky when he was almost done his hay.
Next i watered the stalls that needed watering,and threw in a flake of hay for everyone before i left.
That was my day:)
