(He was well schooled in not looking smug when she agreed, so he just smiled gently and got to his feet, handing her purse over and going to the counter to get his keys. He was adjusting his jacket when she froze, and his eyes wandered over her before he realized she was in pain and was at her side in a heartbeat, his arms around her from behind, one arm around her chest to take some of her weight from her and his other hand splayed over her stomach as he felt the spasms of pain running through her in the very tension of her muscles.) Deep breath, Haylie.. (He said, since she hadn't breathed the entire time he'd moved to her and held her so far. He shifted her around in his arms and encouraged her to put her arms around his neck as he ran his hands up and down her back, trying to soothe her as best he could.. lord, he was feeling guilty. She was making a person.. did she have to suffer for it?) That's my girl.. (He murmured into her hair was she breathed against him, drawing back to press kisses to her forehead, temple and cheek.) It wont take long to get you down to the hospital.. (Hopefully they could get there before this.. whatever it was.. happened again.)
