Dear Chris

What a nourishing message. Yes, I too, now that you mention it, see still my judgments around exhaustion, and I feel A LOT of exhaustion these days. It is somehow so deeply instilled in me that it's "wrong" to feel this way - or, at any rate, downright inconvenient when there are so many things to be done (apparently). And I guess it actually just bodily feels better when the energy is pouring through. I particularly get the guilt trip on exhaustion when it comes to work - even if I greenlight it, my employers might not be so understanding! And so there appears a dilemma between my wanting to collapse in a heap and take the day off and my need to make some money to keep body and soul together. I'm also so used to being "Miss Efficient". I'm already wondering how this will work out if I get the work permit to go and work at Ma-Tam (all is going ahead smoothly on that front at the moment, fingers crossed). But I'm simultaneously trying not to project into and worry too much about the future.

Perhaps the hardest things I find to greenlight are when those heavy feelings of dread, despair, inertia, "I don't want to live anymore" etc. crop up. Which they do often simultaneously with exhaustion. But next time I shall try and do just that - greenlight them - inspired by what you have said.

I find TOTAL EXHAUSTION the easiest place to be - for that's when I truly "give up" and it's actually a very nice place to be.
