Finally. It seemed that an eternity had passed in the space of a few minutes. Why did it always seem that time sped up just when you needed it to slow down? Points to ponder at a later date. Through all the hurdles, through all the barriers, and through all the stops, the sorrel stallion had finally arrived. Weaving carefully through the growing throng, Hex positioned himself in front of Takara, shielding her body with his own. Though he was sweaty and disheveled, he still managed to retain some of his regal arrogance. Cool brown gaze swept over Adrian and his companion, a mare he had never laid eyes upon before. Disinterestedly, he turned his amber gaze back to the wiry bay.

"Adrian. To what do I owe the honor of your presence in my home?"

Brutally formal and jarringly civil, despite the chaos erupting all over the Isle, but that was Hex. Besides, he wasn't quite sure what the rebel stallion wanted. He was no longer attached to Firelight, had no reason to be helping the Evils except to get his kicks and giggles.

Waiting rather impatiently for an answer, Hex shifted his weight, making certain that Takara was protected from all angles. His mother was on one side, Satin Kiss on the other, and him up front. He only hoped he could keep her safe until he could get her out of the Isle.
