::It was when both Mary and Robert were in the back, both trying to put on a straight face for what was about to happen. Now trying not to laugh, is not an easy thing to do, and one would have achieved that goal.. the other would breakout laughing. Finally both calmed down..
Mary was ready to go into the tavern, when Robert turned her back around:: Mary, ye almost fergot ::he held a ladle spoon full of a reddish soup, and as he poured a little on her breast and both began laughing all over again. Mary had to stop Robert before he made it look like she had stood before a firing squid "easy there Captain, we got to make believable.'
Now they were ready, Robert with pistol in hand, and Mary had hand on the door out into the tavern. The shot fired, and Mary quickly splashed a pinch of flour over her face. Robert gave her a wink, and a slap to the rounds of her backside. Mary crossed her fingers before going out.
Robert tucked the pistol back into his belt, and painted a stern look on his face.. their plan was for Mary to die behind the bar where no one could see her laughing. Robert counted to five.. and even though he missed the count of four.. it took starting over with his counting.. but gave up the third count:: Ah 'ell, she is dead by now.
Robert came out then made his way back behind the bar. He enjoyed kicking what seemed to all that he was kicking Mary's body.
It was after his second kick that he caught it.. caught the scent of another place., a place he has been. His head up as he sought the one it came with. His eyes scanned the room, but knew even if he found the one, he would not recognize her. It was that moment Robert called Angus over to drag Mary back into the back room.. the few moments the two men were behind the bar:: Once ye drag Mary inta back, I want's ye ta get ta Salty Dog's entrance an spy all in room. Be look'n fer new face in crowd, one I be tell'n ye ta find be master of disguise. ::Angus gave nod:: <ws> "aye captain."
