Subject: Lust in the Dust

I watched Lust in the Dust last night after selling programmes; I felt relief I had not actually bought a ticket!
I think this is by far the worst script I have seen performed for a long time. I could see no reason why it would be chosen and pitied the cast particularly in the ripping off of garments; a scene which seemed to have strayed from the realms of pantomime. Whatever humour there was was laboured and predictable; the piece lacked light and shade and most important for a farce - pace!
The rest of the season can only improve.
