I have the opposite problem - can't seem to put the weight on. I know you may not believe this, but it's just as bad to be underweight as overweight. I just had a very frank talk with my brother over the Easter weekend. He's a large man and I haven't seen him in two years. He's about 5'11" and weighs about 350+ pounds. Very unhealthy. I believe his problem stems from lack of exercise, fast food and a case of beer a night (and he doesn't get a buzz, how's that for tolerance??). Anyway, if you'd like I will go through some of my diabetic and vegetarian cookbooks and see what I can find. The diabetic cookbooks are geared towards adults so they usually are low in fat/cholesterol and sodium.

How's your hip doing, Margaret? Walking is wonderful exercise and good therapy as long as you take it easy and don't over-do it. What about swimming? I know it's probably hard for you to find time for yourself with Bill to look after, but it's so important to etch out an hour or so for yourself each day. I'll go through some of my cookbooks today and see what I can find.
