there is a brief, oh so very brief (no pun intended, teeheehee) moment of silence before the air is shattered with a chorus of screams! The Dancing Dana dropped the bike she was holding before jumping off the bar into some very thin air, made thinner by the cold air coming in from the open door. The Red Speedo review let out a collective grunt as the diminutive Dancing Dana landed on top of the group as they huddled together trying to keep warm.

"Hold it everybody" as a loud voice tried vainly to be heard. Stardoe, pulling on the long pants and socks, tried to be heard again "Quiet, everybodeeeee" in her best Grover voice. (Got to stop watching Sesame Street she thought to herself.) When that failed, she got out her trusty six shooter and fired into the ceiling, hoping that nobody was playing on the chandelier overhead.

Hearing the noise, the screams stopped and nobody moved, except CW as she slipped quietly out of the Klub and into the cold night. "Thank goodness this stuff is flyffy and blowing" she thought. That darn snow squeaks when it gets close to zero out here. She quickly hustled to her house and entered through the back door, appreciating the landscaping she had worked so laboriously on last summer. "Hmm, looks good even in the snow" she thought as she blew the snow off the door knob.

Meanwhile, the Mayor was still pounding on the bar with her fist while shouting "get dressed all of you--all of you in here going to ride in this Brr ride thing and I am going to be the timer and judge for this race."

Muttering protests, the crowd began to move to the door, hoping nobody could identify them. Kande, glaring at KS picked up her bike and started to push it toward her sis. "Here, she screamed--you do it or are you too chicken?"

KS countered with a sneer and said "I'm no chicken."

"Are too"

"Am Not"

"Are too"

"Am Not"

While they continued with their Phi Beta Kappa level conversation, the rest of the crowd plunged through the door and disappeared into the night leaving a somewhat stunned Mayor and the two bickering sisters.

Back at her house, CW silently let herself into the back porch, shook off the snow and opened the kitchen door. "Good thing it's still snowing" she thought outloud "or they could track me here." Looking wistfully at her recliner and warm wool afghan by the fire, she decided to take action. Opening the basement steps, she turned on the light and went downstairs to the large storage closet. Taking out her cross country ski clothes, skis, boots and poles, she shut the door, went up the stairs and turned off the light as she shut the door.

Stopping at the top of the steps, she suddenly froze, but not from the cold. "What was that thing in the corner?" Running down the steps again, she turned on the lights and stared in horror at the bomb laying there, all nice and neat. "That KS" she muttered "I'll fix her!" Ripping the mounted deer antlers off the wall to expose a hidden cell phone, she quickly punched speed dial and paced the basement floor in circles.

"Come on, come on--ANSWER!"
