I don't know why "he" did it. Steven Maeda wrote the ep in question, last night's (3/17), Audrey Pauley. Of course CC approved it and may have fiddled with it. We now know Doggett loves Reyes. In those words. I thought you'd be happy that Doggett isn't after Scully, he's no threat to the MSR! Even though I'd read about the kiss between D&R,(it was in a dream sequence) I wasn't thrilled with other spoilers nor the previews of the episode. I thought it was going to be boring. It wasn't! Even without the romance it was excellent! Amazing story! Amazing directing! Amazing special effects! Amazing acting!

I don't think CC is screwing anyone. I am one of the original MSR shippers and I'm certainly not offended. Unlike a few fans, I don't just watch the show for any UST. I watch it for many reasons, and one is show quality. The stories that have been done in S9 have been wonderful. The new characters are growing, another unique and wonderful aspect of the show, character depth. It's ridiculous that so many fans have left. They were all just in it for MSR. They got their "prurient interest" satisfied, as CC put it, and ran, ruining it for the rest of us who wish the show was renewed for S10. The weren't in it for the quality of the stories. S7 for the most part sucked. S8 was good. S9 is great! I wish we could have more seasons to get character development and storylines grow for D&R. Next season there's an hour Sunday evenings open for another crappy reality/survivor/game show. Oh joy.
