Yeah, your right about people hating each other because of what they perceive to be Truth or Reality. Its hard to reason with someone who cannot admit that they do not possess THE TRUTH. Especially when they are willing to die (or even kill) in order to prove to others that they are right. I don't know why they must convince themselves that they have somehow cornered the Truth of Life. I suspect that it is all driven by fear. The good news is that it seems to be getting better. The small New England city that I live in hasn't been pillaged for centuries.

The troubles in the middle east are probably the best example of what your talking about but I think that there is even a huge improvement there. I imagine that it will always be that way as long as there are fearful, self-centered people in the world. But on the whole... the world is becoming more liberal and better educated. The zealots will always be with us, but more and more people are able to see through their manipulative propoganda.

I think that eventually there will be a Single Truth for mankind. It may not reveal itself for another two thousand years and I have no idea what the answer will eventually be but it does seem that we have been steadily marching towards it ever since Life first arose on this planet. Truths that cannot be tested through experiment have a way of rising to reveal themselves anyway because falsehoods cannot sustain themselves in the long run. Though there is no test for it, the evidence shows that love is more powerful than hate, freedom is more powerful than oppression, and peace is preferable to war.

What do you see as the unfolding Truth?
