"Indeed..." Celefé responded quietly as she gazed into the emerald green depths of the trees, though her eyes were unfocused as if they sought some untangible thing just out of view. After the pregnant pause, the silver eyes turned then to Lenariah, and seemed to evaluate her worthiness of having the knowledge of an unknown secret. "Lenariah, are you aware-"

Celefé's words died on her lips as she noticed the column's sudden left turn between two, nondescript yet towering ash trees. As they descended one by one through the gap, a grand lea was revealed. It's oblong expanse, a furlong deep, was carpeted with plush, sage-grey grass through which pale blue and lavendar blossoms were strewn. The dense wood surrounded it on all edges, an impenetrable wall of twisted limbs and foliage. Above, the sky spread wide in a dazzling cerulean blanket with thin wisps of veil-like clouds drifting past. It was an enchanting place, magical in its maintained serenity through such bellicose times.

Ryvael sprung forth at once, dashing between numerous hooves into the clandestine meadow with a series of jovial barks. A splash was heard as he made his way into a small stream hidden by the varying gradient of the land. Grinning slightly at such antics, Celefé quided her mount to the edge of the field, shaded by the flora overhead. Dismounting the sleek, grey steed, she proceeded to remove his tack then send him off to graze with his herdmates.

Celefé watched her horse canter away, then turned and hung his bridal on a branch. Gracefully folding her legs beneath her, so as to sit tailor-style, she leaned the small saddle and blanket at her back against the tree. Ryvael, thoroughly damp, trotted up then promptly laid down and tucked his head beneath her hand.

Tevion, too having just let his his horse roam free, saw Lenariah seeming to struggle somewhat with the fittings on her almond steed. His sister hadn't noticed, apparently. With a resigned sigh, as to his predicament of semi-forced social interaction, he strode in his lengthy gate to her side.

"Here, let me..." he practically whispered as his long, lean fingers quickly undid the buckles. Within what seemed seconds, the mare's saddle was off, the indigo pad with it, as well as a neatly bundled bridle hanging beside the silver steed's own. A quick smile, and he nearly ran off leaving his sister silently laughing.

"There is the extent of my dear brother's sociality. It would be a miracle if he spoke another word to someone in a week." She waited as Lenariah sat down, then leaned forward so as to not have to speak so loudly. "About our conversation beforehand, the one concerning my life force? It's rather had me questioning it these past hours you've been around..." There was a pause as she searched for a fitting term. "Something isn't right with it. I really should have died, even with your assistance. Not that I'm questioning your abilities. It has to do with my race, but that's a tale left for later rather than sooner, and that all depends on what I'm going to find out right now. Hit me or something if I start acting strange, please."

Hands resting on her knees and back straight, Celefé closed her piercing eyes. Her breaths grew very deep and very slow, and her heartbeat became nonexistent. The noises of the world beyond the confines of her body disappeared, and those within were disregarded. For the second time that day, she sought the well of silver light she possessed, though not for use this time. Instead, she examined it. There was much less of it than normal, now just a menial amount compared to the bright white-violet of Lenariah's casting. But past that, shifting to avoid the inspection of her inner gaze, was something completely unexpected. In the shadows of her body was hidden a shiny, black light, if black could be radiant just like her own silver. It wound around her veins and blood vessels, sustaining her for the time as the thin-running silver and bountiful lavendar did the same. The shock of seeing it though, within herself, completely caught Celefé off guard and threw her from her internal search.

In response to the sudden removal, Celefé's eyes snapped open at the same time she drew an extensive breath. Willing herself to calm, she found Lenariah's questioning look.

"It's a long explanation, but in short: it's not good."
