She chuckled at his enthusiasm, heading out of the apartment and locking it up behind them. She fished her sunglasses from her purse and perched them on the bridge of her nose before exiting the complex, holding the door for him. She was amazed at how beautiful he was in this form, the sun catching on the flecks of color in his fur. She itched to pet him, and curled her fingers into her palm to avoid the gesture. Instead, she made her way to her truck--a 57 Ford International, that had been restored by her father and given to her on her 18th birthday. It was baby blue in color with white trim, and ran like a champ. She opened the passenger door for him, waiting for him to leap in. She was about to close the door when she stopped, smirked, and rolled the window down for him. "Now you can feel the wind in your face, darlin'." She went around to the driver's side and hopped in, firing up the old truck. She put it into gear and headed for the mountains.
