Subject: Ethernet still broken; What am I doing wrong?

I loaded 7.6 on my Mystic. I had a Apple brand network card installed in the Mystic before I did the install. I loaded Netscape 2.0

I went to the tcp/ip control panel and selected "ethernet"
and selected "DHCP". And in the box in the right hand corner of tcp/ip where it says Search Domains I wrote in "quest.net".

I moved the DSL/network cable from my PC, and plugged it into the Mystic network card.

I booted Netscape on the Mystic and it gave me a error message that says it is unable to create a network socket connection.

I thought I may have the domain wrong, so I changed it to
"pop.ptld.qwest.net" and then "www.qwest.net". And I even listed all three at the same time to see what that would do.
Same error message from Netscape.

So my question is....

Do I need to install a driver for the apple brand network card in my Mystic??? Or do I have some other problem?

DHCP DSL works fine on my PC running Eudora and a newer Netscape.
