Kande furiously reaches for the belt, but is easily stopped when KS puts her hand up against Kande's face. Kande flails away uselessly while KS examines her newly manicured nails.

"And for everyone's information," KS says loudly, "I did NOT go to the prom with Cousin Doug. In fact, I was so popular, I went both my freshman and junior years."

Kande makes a loud sputtering noise so KS lashes her legs with the belt.

"I don't suppose you looked on the other side of the Mayor's float?" KS asks innocently.

Kande stops dead. "Why, should I?"

"Not if you're going to get all puce-looking," KS says judiciously. "It wouldn't go with that mustard-colored shirt."

"That IS mustard, you twit," Kande spits. She turns and looks at the other side of the float and turns pale. There's a baby photo of Kande with her head all pointy, a toddler photo of her naked in a small wading pool, the photo the orthodontist took when convincing Kande's parents to get her braces, and a photo from 9th grade when Kande got that really bad haircut but before she purchased the hat that covered it.

"YOU BI---!" she explodes, as she turns to KM.

"Ah, ah, ah! You didn't say ScullylovesMulder!" KM says coquetishly, wagging her finger at Kande. "That's a least a $1,000 fine."

"I didn't say it because she doesn't!" Kande screams, thinking perhaps she should be a contestant in this whole parade thingy.

"Ewww, puce," KS frowns at Kande.

A loud rumbling sound can be heard coming from the library. CW can be seen crawling away from the building.
