I definitely recall seeing some episodes which were prefaced with MacMurray saying "Welcome to our show." In the original broadcasts of the early episodes, he said "Welcome to our show for Chevrolet." I'm not sure, but he might have said something similar when Pontiac replaced Chevy as sponsor. In later episodes I know he said "Welcome to our show." As for the long white sweater: I have a vague recollection of that from a So. Cal station broadcast of the shows in the mid '80's. The sweater was the "cable knit" type right. Not sure about knitting terminology, but I seem to remember the sweater as not having a smooth surface, but sort of ribbed? Am I getting this right, or is my imagination working too hard?
