Its not a waste of time guys. Its the first step in the process with dealing with a player who back chats or a team that back chats.
First step advance the penalty kick 10m
Second step caution the player / captain so you position him / team "if he doesn't address and fix the issue you will" by placing someone in the bin.
Third step Sin Bin a / the player.

I am quiet certain that playing a man down and conceeding 2 penalties will hurt the team.

Its all bout the process and position of the captain. Take the problem away from us as referees
