Subject: The Mayor lounges back against her throne

"Now that all that hoopla over Santa is finished..." she begins.

"Thank God!" Kande mutters, rubbing the back of her keister where she'd fallen on top of Santa.

"Three cheers for Stardoe for injecting him with the memory switch serum!" KS calls out, holding aloft her rootbeer mug. The crowd in the Klub joins her in a loud hurrah. Stardoe looks sheepish. KS turns towards her. "If you hadn't done that, I'm not sure he would have ever returned to Shipperville with presents. At least," she adds slyly, "not without a little 'help' from me."

"That was a stroke of genius implanting that memory of vacationing in the Bahama's," CW compliments Stardoe who blushes. "That explains his third-degree sunburn."

"Ahem! People!" the Mayor claps her hands. The crowd ignores her as they continue to laud Stardoe with compliments.

"Don't forget, folks, it was me who carted Santa back on the sleigh and sent him towards home. What a load!" KS toots her own horn for a moment. The crowd gives her a hurrah too, just because they're scared not to.

"I say, PEOPLE! I WAS TALKING!" The Mayor interjects with a frenzied banging of her sceptre against the bar. Bubba rescues some glasses before she breaks them. Everyone turns towards her expectantly. "That's better. Valentine's Day is in 11 more days..."

"Oh no! I just bought her a present," Kande whines. "She always wants those three pound boxes of chocolates."

"And flowers," CW adds.

"Not to mention the floweriest of cards," KS grumbles. "Ick."

"That's enough!" The Mayor's crown slips over one eye as she glares at the complaining trio. "I want this year's Valentine's Day to be really special."

"Oh, if it's special she wants..." KS says with a sly grin.
