Rocket smirked at Bounder and deliberately turned him the back. He wasn't afraid, for even if the young fox decided to attack, he could pin him down with only a paw. Instead he adressed Dreamer with a low grumble. "Come on missy. If they don't have enough courage to do it, we can mage it ourselves."
He walked to the wounded vixen and grabbed her scruff, caring not to hurt her and in the meanwhile helping her back on her feet. Then he crawled on the ground so that she could support herself on his broad shoulders. While doing so he never took his eyes off the two blue foxes, with a vaguely challenging stare, as though he dared them to do the same. To Dreamer he said, loud enough for Bounder and Warrior to hear: "Don't worry about contracting the disease. Even if you do catch it, it will perhaps tingle a little but you won't end up like her. It gets worse with age."
Finally, he focussed his whole attention on the two brothers again. "Come on, sons" he repeated, a bit more gently this time. "If there's someone who has something to fear, that's me. It won't hurt you too bad, don't worry"
