The Sun, now high overhead and shining with all its intensity, filtered through the whispering leaves, casting grey, intricate patterns on the forest floor and filling the great wooded hall with a green-tinged light. A slight shift of air cast the foliage into motion, their shadows rippling across the earthen carpet in likeness to light off water's surface. Beneath the equus hooves, the camber of the secret path began to pitch upwards ever so slightly, a silent signal that the beginnings of the mountains were at hand.

As Celefé listened to the song, she kept a steady gaze upon her sibling. The notes of Lenariah's enchantment drifted slowly up the columns of soldiers, beyond their unattentive minds, and collided with Tevion. Now disengaged from his conversation with one of his commanders, Tevion's eyes lifted quickly from studying the jet hairs of his horse's mane to seek out the performed. Eventually, he twisted 'round far enough in his saddle to notice Lenariah, but the discomfort of such a stance permitted him only to glance over his shoulder every other moment until the lyrics had ceased.

"I think you should speak with my brother when you have a chance, perhaps at lunch." Celefé stated at the close of Lenariah's solo. "You see, he is quite the poet, though not many know of his talent. He certainly does not believe his work is anything worth praise. So typical of him, too." Her steely eyes glanced up at the canopy, a gesture of her exasperation. "He writes music for his writing, another thing he doesn't admitt. I can hear him playing his violin when its raining or cold, and he isn't writing. It is truly beautiful work; I wish he would play more often. But he will not; he's afraid of rejection." Exasperation was quickly turning to frustration. Celefé took a few breaths, willing herself to relax. She turned to Lenariah, a grin of hopelessness on her features. "But then again, some people will never change."

Abruptly, Celefé halted her cloud-coated steed in a quiet rattle of metal fittings. Before her, the procession of warriors continued onward, rather passive. The lady swung switfy albeit stiffly from the onyx saddle, peering curiously among the trees at some foreign item. The shadows didnts seem to falling right, there was a strange obstruction of the light...

"Ryvael!" she cried, while at the same moment being pounced upon by a white blur. Ryvael, it appeared, was a very energetic dog. His long coat was offset by a pair of understanding, amber eyes, the irises rimmed with chocolate. Tulip ears perched alertly on top of his crown, their pointed tips just reaching Celefé's thigh. Affectionately, she tapped the end of his long, grey-spritzed nose with her gloved forefinger before grabbing his curled tail, which closely resembled a bend peacock feather. The dog turned his snowy head around, assessing the cause of his immobility before giving the lady a quite pitiful look. She laughed it off ad rufled the fur on his head, at which Reyvael immediately began to loll.

"Lenariah, this is one of my many companions, Ryvael. But if that's too long, feel no objection to calling him Ry."
