If there was really a J78 or J79 pins on my a/b and I missed them and I have already cut pin number 20, then have I messed up the whole job? If everything is successful, do I still have to add the 4nf capacitor, or is that installed only if you have trouble with the alignment of the video? I was once considering doing the VGA mod as shown by Chris Lawson but was discouraged by the soldering and cutting in some pretty tight places such as soldering between pins 20 and 24 and the extra cut at pin 25. Is the latter VGA a better choice for the CC or is the HI RES the best for soldering amateurs? Can the former mod be changed to the latter, if the former does not work?
thanks for your help
