looked at her rather handsome companion who knew what she was thinking. Leaning over he whispered something in her ear which elicited a short laugh. "OK" she said to the group "here's the deal."

All eyes were on the pair as they exchanged amused glances. The mayor dropped her packages and lists. Kande licked her eggnog moustache off with a triumphant flourish. IG sat down on the closest chair, not quite believing her ears and, unknown to all of them, KS gasped. "At last" she moaned "my sis did something right."

"Here's the deal" CW repeated. "One clue at a time--sort of like the Twelve Days of Christmas song only there are only 6 letters" she said with a twinkle in her eyes. "They won't be in any particular order--that puzzle is for you to put together."

All eyes were glued to her and her rather handsome companion.

"The first clue is for the letter S" she said "and it stands for Smith."

Having said that, the pair stood and left the room. The rest of the gang stared after them muttering "that's a clue?"
