"...Jones!" KS scowls into the depths of her eggnog. She'd heard CW's comment because she'd hidden back in the kitchen. "If there was a 'B' it would stand for Brown. His name is probably a mishmash of common names." She slams her fist into Kande's industrial refrigerator, leaving a slight dent and bruising all the knuckles on her right hand.

Behind her, Bubba gives a silent tsk. Humans! Always have to know everything. Nosy parkers. Thank goodness they seem to have taken him at face value. They didn't see past the alien bartender role he'd taken on since he'd moved to Shipperville.

KS turns and sees Bubba standing there. He seems to be having a conversation with himself. "I suppose you have some kind of secret too, eh, Bubba? Something you're hiding from the rest of us?"

Bubba gapes at her. How did she know? Had he been talking out loud? Before he can put an alien deathhold on her, she brushes past him into the Klub.

Only Kande remains of the small group. She is struggling to put up the large Christmas tree that always stands on the stage during the holidays. KS strides over and manhandles it into place.

"Gee thanks, Sis," Kande says. "I guess you're starting to get into the spirit of things. Say, did you know that CW's companion has a Smith in his name?"

"Right," KS says sarcastically. "Can't you tell a made-up name when you hear it?"
