The Mayor gracefully enters the library followed by Bubba who is carrying a large stack of books. He drops them down on the return counter with a thud. KS looks disapprovingly at the little alien and opens the first book.

"These are overdue Mayor" she smiles, " I get to charge you a fine"

The Mayor leans over the counter as Bubba snickers, "I think your mistaken, they are right on time"

"Nope" KS holds up the little card and points to the faded red date stamp. "See Mayor, this one was due November 11th, 1994!" She gets excited and begins to calculate what is owing. The Mayor puts out her hand and stops her.

"I said......they are right on time." KS gulps and nods her head.

"um...thank you for using Shippervilles public library Mayor"

"Thats better, now where is Rabid anyway? And why is this place is such a mess?"

"Rabid is gone. I think she has been abducted!"

Bubba shreeks, the mayor gasps. "ABDUCTED!!! hell child, why didn't you tell me sooner." She pulls out her cell phone and hits speed dial #3.

"Scully, sorry to bug you, we have an emergency. Rabid has been abducted. From the evidence left," the mayor fingers some slimmy green goo that was left on one of the racks, "its definatly an alien abduction. How quick can you get here?"

"good. see you then" she hangs up the phone. KS is now looking closer at the racks.

"Here is what we will do Mayor, while M and S go alien hunting, I will set a few little traps around town, guarenteed to pick off any non-human creature." she starts to smile.

Bubba puts his hands on his almost hips and glares at KS.

"except you of course Bubba..hahahaha" she laughs nervously.

"No boobytraps, especially not in here and not today. Let Mulder and Scully handle the abduction. I need you here KS'

"Why? What is more important than finding our librarian?" KS asks while checking the weapons she has strapped to her body.

"its story-time day! In about 30 minutes this room will be filled with all the junior Shippervillians wanting stories, fingerpuppet plays and a few sing songs. I don't need the town freaking out until our dynamic duo can get to work. So you are needed here to fill in for Rabid"

KS gasps, "ME......DO STORYTIME" hands to her chest she begins to pant loudly, "Rabid....she has NEVER let me do storytime.....only resheving.....and that is only when I am supervised...I'm not ready....." KS then begins to stomp her foot in a very childlike manner. Something rattles and a few small silver gadgets slip out of her pant leg. She quickly reaches down and picks them up.

"All due respect Mayor, I would be of much better use to M and S."

"NO, your to take care of the library, don't let anyone get suspisious. Now GO"

Just then the doors open and Scully walks in. Mulder soon follows with a baby strapped to his chest.

"Where do we start Mayor?"
