Subject: Continueing on the story from the very long thread

As CW checks the sight and ammo on the weapon, KM dials frantically.

"It's me" she says into the phone in a steady voice, "you know the thing we thought would never happen" she pauses dramatically, "it's starting"

Kenamom closes her eyes in a short prayer as she hangs up the phone.

Meanwhile, on the other end of town Scully is tearing through her house looking for her wallet.

"do you really have to go Scully, I thought we could build the tower again." Mulder smiles and wiggles his eyebrows.

"Wish I could but the Mayor needs me" she blows him a kiss as she runs out the door. Jumping in her car she drives to KS's victorian mansion and runs into the kitchen door.

"Where's Monica" she asks JD, who is hanging up his broom. He gives a little wave then points down to the floor. Monica starts to wake up.

"What the hell happened?" she says as she comes to.

"I have warned you, NEVER piss off you-know-who." JD says apologetically. He and Scully assist Monica to her feet.

"Why are you here Scully, shouldn't you and Mulder be making up for lost time?"

"Yes, yes we should, but we have a serious problem here in Shipperville. And its up to you and I to help the Mayor."

"Of course, what ever it takes" Monica tosses the bag of squashed hotdogs to JD then after making sure no one is watching, blows him a big kiss.

"Whats the problem?" Monica asks Scully as they make their way to the waiting car.

"The Socialists, they are within the city limits, we must stop them in their tracks." Scully says very solomnly.

"OH MY GOD.....have they come up from the tunnels yet?"

"not yet.......but they are close"

They jump into the car and burn rubber as they head towards the Mayors office.
