Subject: Rabid once again picks up the walkie-talkie (continued from below)

"While you're at the store," she booms into the mike, "I could use some feminine hygiene thingies too." KM watches as Mulder winces and holds the walkie-talkie away from his ear. A group of teenage boys nearby point and giggle. One of them walks close by as Mulder gets ready to respond to Rabid's request.

"Whipped!" the boy hisses at Mulder and then darts away as Mulder tries to ram him with his cart.

"Rabid!" Mulder hunches over the mike, eyes darting back and forth. "Can't the feminine thingies wait?"

Rabid begins to moan and whine into the mike. "I've got a broken aaaarrrrrmmmm," she snivels. At the Mulder/Scully chateau, KM and a disheveled Scully roll their eyes at each other. "If I could buy my own feminine hygiene thingies I would, but my aaarrrmmmm..."

"Oh ALL RIGHT!" Mulder snaps and turns his cart around. "Over and out." He holds up the walkie-talkie and deliberately turns off the 'talk' button.

"Well! That was rude," Rabid says, sitting up in bed. She looks up and sees Scully starting to put the potted plant KM had brought over by the window seat. "No, No! Put it over here on the tray where I can see it." Scully complies and then Rabid changes her mind. "No, maybe on the floor by the chair. Wait, I think it would look better by the closet..."

Scully turns and glares at her. Her blouse is unbuttoned and William is latched on her nipple. Unable to shower since Rabid: Houseguest from Hell has arrived, her hair lies greasy and flat against her skull. Her gray, pilled sweatpants have a large stain on the leg and she's wearing graying bunny slippers.

"Make up your mind!" Scully screeches. Just then, a loud banging can be heard at the front door. Then the doorbell. Then the pounding. "Argh!" Scully throws up her hands and tosses William over her shoulder and buttons her blouse as she stomps down the stairs as loud as bunny slippers can.

"Sheesh. I wasn't done with her," Rabid grumbles. She switches the channel on the TV so that she and KM can see who's at the front door. It's Kande, holding one finger aloft. They watch as Scully flings open the door and Kande lifts her finger limply and looks pathetic.

"What's she doing here?" KM asks, crowding over by Rabid on the bed.

"The arm! THE ARM!" Rabid reminds KM, gently cradling her cast.

"Whatever," KM tells her, intent on the screen. She picks up the remote and turns on the sound.

"...and then I got a splinter and couldn't get it out and immediately thought of you and the tender, loving nursing you're giving Rabid and I thought maybe..." Kande can be heard to say, a large crocodile tear slipping down her cheek.

"Oh for Pete's sake!" Scully snaps at her, pushing back a lank lock of hair. "Let me see that."

Kande glances up and sees the camera over the door sill. She smirks and mugs for the camera as Scully grabs her hand and drags her inside.

"That Bitch! She's trying to take my nurse!" Rabid exclaims. She grabs the bell next to the bed and starts ringing it loudly.
