Chapter 5: Complications
Terina and Talib parted, breathless and shaking. Terina could not believe what had just happened. It wasn't like her to kiss someone she wasn't dating. And the guy she had hated, of all people. Although, she didn't hate him anymore, it didn't excuse her out-of-character behaviour. She slowly raised her eyes to meet Talib's. His brown eyes were staring back at her. She didn't know what to think. She was waiting for him to say something.
Talib finally smiled at her, and she relaxed. His smile had that effect on her.
Talib: "Wow..." He still smiling.
Talib saw Terina in a whole new light. She really did have a wild, passionate side. He couldn't understand what he had just did. He had made out with Terina. The fact that he betrayed Meg hadn't even entered his mind. Yet.
Terina smiled back at him.
Terina: "That was really nice. And fun" Terina would never have guessed that she would find the perfect guy for her in Talib. Then, she remembered their deal.
Terina: "This isn't going to leave this room is it?" trying not to sound disappointed.
At the mention of the outside world, Talib suddenly realized what he had done.
Talib: "Oh SHIT!" he jumping up from the ground. He began pacing back and forth.
Terina: "What? What's wrong?"
Talib: "Uh, yeah... this definitely doesn't leave here,"
Terina: "WHAT is going on?" Talib took a deep breath.
Talib: "Well, there's a slight problem..."
Terina: "Uh huh..."
Talib: "... called cheating."
Terina: "Oh." She then put it together and exclaimed.
Terina: "WAIT! You mean you had a girlfriend?!"
Talib: "HAVE a girlfriend"

Clara: "Are you sure Talib is at Meg's?" She had come over after work to see Jarell.
Jarell: "Well, no, but that's what Lami and I assumed."
Clara: "So why don't you guys call her place to find out? It's getting late and it would be nice to make sure Talib was safe" Jarell kissed Clara.
Jarell: "You're so thoughtful"
Lami: "Okay, we could call Meg's place. But I don't wanna disturb anything, if ya know what I mean" He laughed.
Clara: "Fair enough... then go ask Keisha downstairs! She's Meg's roommate and she just left from there" she suggested.
Lami: "Good idea!" he leapt up from his spot on Jarell's bedroom floor.
Jarell whispered in her ear: "Now that he's gone..."
Clara smiled: "Jarell! He could be back any second!"
Jarell: "Fine..."

Lami found Keisha in the kitchen, waiting for the popcorn in the microwave.
Lami: "Hey Keisha," It was a little awkward around her because he knew she used to like him before she started dating Nelly.
Keisha: "Oh, hey Lami. What's up?" she smiled politely.
Lami: "Was Talib over at your place with Meg?"
Keisha: "No, why? You're looking for him TOO!? I heard Meg get frustrated that she couldn't get a hold of him..."
Nelly asked: "Get a hold of who?" he walked into the kitchen.
Keisha: "Talib! Lami and Meg are both looking for him"
Lami wondered: "Yeah, who was this 'friend' that was gonna give him a ride anyway?"
Nelly thought back: "Oh yeah! Dude, I forgot to tell ya... it was Nique!"
Lami: "WHAT!? Talib's at my girlfriend's place? She didn't mention he was with her..."
Nelly explained: "Talib told me not to tell ya she was at Ikea too cause you wouldn't have left if you found her... so call Nique and refine everything."
Lami: "Okay..." He dialed the familiar numbers and heard his girlfriend pick up.
Lami: "Hey sweetie"
Nique: "Hi baby, what's up?"
Lami: "Are you busy?"
Nique: "Just on the other line with Star, what's wrong?"
Lami: "Is Talib with you?"
Nique: "Talib? No, why? You said a friend was gonna give him a ride home... he's not home yet?!"
Lami: "Apparently YOU were the 'friend' that was to drive him," then he explained the entire story from what he knew. He waited as Nique clicked onto the other line to ask Star.
Nique: "Lami?" she got back to him.
Nique: "Star said that Terina's not home yet either. She had just called her place five minutes ago."
Lami: "So Talib could've gotten a ride with her...? But Terina's not home yet either..."
Nique: "Talib and Terina don't get along at all! Oh! OH NO! They could be stuck in the store! Terina had run back to use the bathroom right before the store was going to close!"
Lami: "So those two are trapped in the store, by themselves?"
Nique: "Yup... this should be disastrous."
