The taxicab seemed to highlight how uneasy they both felt and how uncomfortable their meeting was. Ugh. She was bad at this making friends thing. Out of practice, maybe. Her eyes widened as he spoke. She was being so rude! He went out of his way to introduce himself to her and she was acting so ungrateful. Must rectify the situation by babbling inanely! "No, I just got here. I'm not sure how long I'll stick around, or if I'll stick around, or where I'd go if I left. It's not like I made a permanent move either. I didn't even really own furniture at home! I mean the furniture wasn't mine. And it wasn't stolen or anything either. I lived with my boyfriend; it was his furniture. Buying your own furniture just seems too permanent. It doesn't really matter now since I think we broke up, so I don't even need his furniture anymore. Maybe I'm a nomad. All I'm saying is, please don't shut up." The words tumbled forth from her lips in a mad rush, and all the while she wanted to smack herself. Verbosity is almost never needed! Natasha, you daft cow. The phrase popped into her mind and she almost laughed out loud. How many times had the afore-mentioned saying been spit at her in a moment of anger? She didn't know why that episode of word vomit had just occurred. She had gotten anxious all of a sudden, fearing that this interaction was going poorly. Well, if it wasn't before, it most surely would be now. Epic fail.
