Subject: ... or The City With Very Little People In It, but that takes a bit long to say.
In reply to: Natasha 's message, "CM, I suppose. Or CC. Acronyms are very popular this season." on 14:12:03 12/08/09 Tue

"No, I just got here. I'm not sure how long I'll stick around, or if I'll stick around, or where I'd go if I left. It's not like I made a permanent move either. I didn't even really own furniture at home! I mean the furniture wasn't mine. And it wasn't stolen or anything either. I lived with my boyfriend; it was his furniture. Buying your own furniture just seems too permanent. It doesn't really matter now since I think we broke up, so I don't even need his furniture anymore. Maybe I'm a nomad."

Ezra looked up quizzically at this sudden verbal avalanche. He nodded slowly as she spoke, acknowledging her words. "We moved here from Tel Aviv about a year or two ago." He said, his voice carrying the tiniest bit of abhorrence, though it was hardly noticeable. "I guess that doesn't really make me new. Still feel like it, though." Ezra said, rubbing the back of his neck. "What do you think of Cascade so far?" He was sort of hoping she wasn't completely set on leaving again. He didn't really know her, but he'd become keen on the idea, so didn't really want her to leave. There weren't too many nice people in Cascade, at least not any he'd come across yet, Natasha was one of the few.

"All I'm saying is, please don't shut up."

Ezra gave a small shrug. "You sure? I mean, I can talk for hours about nothing, if you really want me to, but don't feel like you have to reply to everything I say. I mean of course you can if you want to, obviously, but if you don't want to, like I know I'd be a bit pissed if I'd gone looking for someplace nice and quiet only to have some random stranger rock up next to me and start blabbing away like I'd invited them, or something." That had been his turn. At least Natasha had made sense, he wasn't particularly sure how coherent his monologue had just been. A few moments of silence slowly passed, and he laughed suddenly before he could stop himself. It wasn't a loud, raucous laugh, but still audible. "We must look really weird to passersby. Talk, keep quiet, look down street, talk, look at knees, look up, look away, look down, verbal explosions, keep quiet. Repeat." Ezra, your're a freak.
