For trivia buffs and pageant fans, today, September 6, 2024 marks the 100th year anniversary of the 1924 Miss America pageant staged in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Saturday, September 6, 1924.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_America_1924

The fourth annual bathing queen Miss America pageant, had the largest number, 83, entrants of any pageant before and since then.

Miss Philadelphia 1924, Ruth Malcomson won the title, and her niece was Miss Pennsylvania 1956, Lorna Ringler Graham, and Ruth's grand-niece was Miss Delaware 1980, Jodi Meade Graham. Both did not place in the Miss America pageant, however, Lorna was a non-finalist talent winner for a vocal presentation.

Happy 100th year milestone centennial anniversary.

It is so hard to get anyone to compete anymore, and our locals are dying. The numbers at state have been decreasing year after year. I have my assumptions of why, but what do you think the reasoning for this is?

But now I am back and reading such nonsense here again. I understand Glenn has his band of minions here posting stuff to create chaos and distrust but for those with a brain let's discuss: 1) It is no one's business where anyone "gets their money." Why do you think you are entitled to know how much money someone has? Or the source of someone's net worth? So immature. 2)Lawyers bring motions instead of producing documents when they think there is a legal argument to make on relevancy, immateriality, confidentiality etc. I listened to the hearing and Straub did not testify. if he could withstand a perjury charge by telling the truth uder oath one would assume he would have testified but he didn't so people can draw their own conclusions. There was reference to a deposition by his controller who stated under oath

Does anyone have the link to this? Apparently Robyn Kassgerji was on a podcast speaking about her situation and the restraining order but I’m not sure what it’s called. Does anyone have the podcast name or a link to it? I’m hoping she explains more in depth what the situation actually was.

What is happening in recent years with Miss Teen USA Top 5 delegates returning to Miss USA and not making the cut?

In the last 10 years, there have been 4 Miss Teen USA Top 5 delegates that have made the cut at Miss USA:
Sydnee Stottlemyre (4th RU @ Miss Teen USA 2011, Top 10 @ Miss USA 2016)
Marley Stokes (2nd RU @ Miss Teen USA 2016, Top 8 @ Miss USA 2021)
Sydni Dion Bennett (3rd RU @ Miss Teen USA 2018, 3rd RU @ Miss USA 2021)
Caitlyn Vogel (1st RU @ Miss Teen USA 2019, 1st RU @ Miss USA 2021)
Kirby Elizabeth Self (1st RU @ Miss Teen USA 2018, Top 20 @ Miss USA 2023)
Kaylee Brooke McCollum (3rd RU @ Miss Teen USA 2019, Top 20 @ Miss USA 2024)

In the same time period, there have been 11 Miss Teen USA Top 5 delegates that have not made the cut at Miss USA.
2015: Brooke Fletcher (1st RU @ Miss Teen USA 2009) and Julia Dalton (2nd RU @ Miss Teen USA 2008)
2016: Haley Sowers (4th RU @ Miss Teen USA 2010)
2017: Katie Coble (2nd RU @ Miss Teen USA 2007)
2018: Tori Sizemore (1st RU @ Miss Teen USA 2013)
2019: Haley Holloway (2nd RU @ Miss Teen USA 2013)
2020: Jane Axhoj (2nd RU @ Miss Teen USA 2015)
2021: Sydney Robertson (2nd RU @ Miss Teen USA 2014, also Congeniality)
2024: Sydney Taylor (4th RU @ Miss Teen USA 2020) and Shayla Montgomery (1st RU @ Miss Teen USA 2020)

However, there was no former Teen runner-up competed in Miss USA 2022.

AFAIK, the following Teen USA Top 5 delegates from 2015-2022 could be still eligible for Miss USA following the removal of age restrictions and married individual would allow to compete, the new changes were former Teen winners are ineligible to compete in the state level once again.
2015: Melanie Mitchell Hill (1st RU), Hannah Faith Greene (3rd RU), Sophie Baird (4th RU)
2016: Emily Wakeman (1st RU), Erin Snow Roberts (3rd RU), Carissa Morrow (4th RU)
2017: Vanessa Matheson (1st RU), Alexis Smith (2nd RU), Paige Robertson (3rd RU), Jaanu Patel (4th RU)
2018: Chloe Zambrano (2nd RU), Kaaviya Sambasivam (4th RU)
2019: Erica Bonilla (2nd RU), Kalin Burt (4th RU)
2020: Shayla Jackson (2nd RU), Audrey Eckert (4th RU)
2021: Hannah Gilliard (1st RU), Landry Davis (2nd RU), Yvonne Burke (3rd RU)
2022: Jenna Beckstrom (1st RU), Cassidy Hill (2nd RU), Isabella Mosqueda (3rd RU), McKinley Farese (4th RU)

With the Teen and Miss competitions are back on TV, is there even a point for Top 5 Teens to return to Miss USA?

Blah, blah, blah...

She's full of crap and clearly hiding something. Her argument that Glenn doesn't own Miss America and therefore has no right to the documents he's requesting is desperate at best. That argument alone assumes that a decision on ownership has already been decisioned. Hey, Robin - IT HASN'T!!

She also contends a couple of times that "confidential" information has been leaked by Glenn and/or his team. Um Robin, NO ONE IS LEAKING ANYTHING!! Some of us happen to be following all of this closely because we're concerned about YOU. Decisions you've made, personal vendettas you have, punishing people you don't like, lying to us, making stupid decisions - then reversing them because you don't think things through, telling us we didn't hear you say something (sometimes multiple times)...THE LIST GOES ON AND ON. So no, no one is leaking confidential information - we're just paying attention - to the trial, the testimony, the filings...and you're not looking so good.

Especially interesting is her refusal to produce financial documents relating to Miss America (account information, tax returns). Seems like that information might be of interest to the 52 state programs who are sending her money every time we turn around. Interesting to the volunteers who give their time and often money, to this program. Some transparency might be eye-opening.

It will be interesting to see how the judge responds to her latest antics - it's a shame he can't just say he's had enough of her stalling and bullshit and make a ruling already.

Subject: 8 Rules You Didn't Know Mrs. American Contestants Have to Follow (Exclusive)

Author:
No name
[ Edit | View ]

Date Posted: 16:33:00 08/29/24 Thu
(NoHost/12.233.34.186)

The Mrs. America Pageant is currently underway and there are a few notable rules contestants must follow during the competition.

After Heidi Stephens was officially crowned the new Mrs. American 2024 on Aug. 27, taking over the title from Hannah Neeleman, the competition continues with the Mrs. America pageant on Aug. 28.

The Mrs. America Pageant, which includes Mrs. America, Mrs. American and Miss for America Strong Pageant divisions, was first established in 1938 and aims to “feature the most accomplished married and single women of America," according to the official website.

Every year, 51 delegates from across the country are selected to compete for the coveted title and the winners of Mrs. America and Mrs. American will eventually go on to compete for the Mrs. World title.

The 2021 Miss for America Strong winner and current judge Kayelin Tiggs spoke exclusively with PEOPLE about the rules for the pageant, noting that it’s important for contestants to “have a cause” that they are passionate about.

“I think a woman who is passionate about what she does and can talk about it are the ones who will be able to connect with the judges,” she continues. “So a woman who's been able to say, ‘Here's what I do, here's why I do it, here's how I'm making the impact. And here's how the title will amplify that impact,’ I think are the ones who are able to really do well.”

Since winning her title in 2021, Tiggs has been working on House Bill 30 in Ohio, which “would require every single correctional facility, jails, prisons, workhouses, to provide menstrual hygiene products to incarcerated women for free” and allow them “one shower a day” during their cycle, Tiggs tells PEOPLE.

“My background is in behavioral neuroscience and I worked for the Air Force base,” she explains. “At the time, I had been working for the Naval Medical Research Unit doing research for about four and a half years so I took that research background and I started talking with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections, our local jails, just trying to do research on this.”

“And that's how I discovered that there was no legislation and that this was the gap," she said noting how she talked with various incarcerated women about their experiences. “I wanted to create consistency across Ohio because a woman could travel from one facility to another,” she continues. “It's rare that a woman will stay in just one facility for the entirety of her sentence so I wanted to make sure that no matter where a woman was, whether she was in a small jail in a rural area or she was in a bigger city, there would be products that would be available to her at basic levels of access."

Ahead of the rest of the competition, Tiggs shared some additional insights with PEOPLE about the rules each contestant must follow to compete for one of the coveted titles. Read ahead for the biggest rules for the pageant.

- Contestants must be married to qualify for the Mrs. division, but divorced women can still compete in the Miss division

- You have to resign as Mrs. America if you get a divorce within the year you won the crown

- Attendance to rehearsals and other activities is mandatory

- The competition interviews are 'round-robin' style

- There are no 'formal rules' around a contestant’s appearance

- Judges don’t pick the winning costumes

- Contestants can compete while pregnant

- Contestants have to be over 18 years old to compete, but there's no age cap

Interesting video of the winning gowns of the Miss America competition pageant shows from 1963 until 2018--like why not also 2019 to 2024 (??), posted on YouTube on August 17, 2024 (at least the year shown on the video is the year of the actual competition show and also Alan Campbell thought to also include Suzette Charles from the 1983 pageant, even though the former Miss New Jersey had not won Miss America the following July, now exactly 40 years ago last month):

Who had the best of the best? Seems like white was the prominent color to win with? And now its your time to add viewer comments on Alan Campbell's Miss America gown compilation video that was posted just five days ago and only has 126 views---thus far, today, on August 22nd.

Subject: Why are all topics regarding the date announcement suddenly gone? Is it because Robin may be in hot water?

Yesterday, Glenn's team filed an Emergency Motion with the court. You can read it for yourself (link to Palm Beach County Clerk of Court below). Essentially, they allege that Robin disregarded the judge's instructions to "maintain the status quo". On August 26th the judge said, "What I do want to hear about is what can be done in the interim so that information can be shared so that if material commitments need to be made, you-all, the parties, can agree on that or bring it before the Court."

Apparently when Robin's team informed Glenn's team of their intention to announce dates Monday night, the following was Glenn's team's response:

"My client demands that the announcement not occur. My client demands that Ms. Fleming immediately cease and desist any further announcements or entering into contracts. The plan is contrary to the best interests of and damaging to the pageant and organization. As Ms. Fleming discussed with Mr. Straub, it is imprudent to have the pageant on these dates, including requiring contestants to sacrifice family events and travel during New Year’s holiday. The imprudent planning of the pageant over the holidays will reduce live attendance and pageant viewership, adversely affecting revenue. The action is also contrary to the content and spirit of Judge Curley’s ruling on August 20, 2024. Judge Curley made clear that the status quo must be maintained."

Robin announced anyway.

The judge issued his order today in response to the motion, and you can read it for yourselves, but it sounds like Robin can't make a decision about where to blow her nose without communicating with Glenn's team and the two sides agreeing. If they can't, it goes to the judge.

She has to provide information about the IP, written "Monthly Pageant Reports", her activities, activities she intends to undertake, the list goes on. I encourage you to read numbers 6-11 regarding the 2025 pageant. She can't enter into contracts or make commitments related to just about anything over $300 without agreement between both sides. The order goes on regarding details, confidentiality, etc.

Something tells me Robin is having a very bad day today.

Use that link, choose "Continue as Guest", verify you're not a robot, and search by Robin's name. It's the first case on the list. Select the case, choose "Dockets & Documents", go to page 6. The documents I referenced are the bottom two.
