How about a little trivia to take our minds off all the drama … if that is possible.

First up:

Which Miss America was the first to express that she did not want to wear the crown often throughout her year?

To understand where Miss America is today with the lawsuits and how far the Miss America program has spiraled into ruins, it’s important to understand the last seven years of the organization’s history.

1. In Jan 2018, the Forever Miss Americas banded together to start a new journey of running the Miss America program after Sam Haskell was ousted. There was 100% unity in the pageant community at this time and the hope and promise of an amazing future.
2. In summer 2018, the pageant was in turmoil as Gretchen Carlson and Regina Hopper hijacked the pageant and changed it to a new 2.0 version which eliminated swimsuit and the judging of physical beauty.
3. Cara Mund got the support of almost all of the pageant community with her outcry of being bullied by Gretchen and Regina. States banded together to try and stop Gretchen and Regina, except for the notable holdouts of Kay Alexander and Jan Mitchell who stayed silent.
4. A massive fundraising effort raised $50K for the legal defense fund for Jennifer Vaden Barth to fight the Miss America Org, but came up short on court victories in the end.
5. Gretchen Carlson and Regina Hopper racked up in excess of over $100K worth of legal bills to fight Jennifer Vaden Barth and the states legal fights.
6. Allison DeMarcus and her Tennessee Org are one of the franchises to be kicked out, only to move on and start the completely new Miss Volunteer America pageant system.
7. In Dec 2019, the Miss America contestants while in Connecticut are forced by Regina Hopper to sign statements acknowledging that Miss America can only pay for scholarships announced on stage if they have the money to pay for them. This leads to the “loophole” of the organization getting to announce scholarships that it legally doesn’t have to pay to the contestants in the end.
8. The Dec 2019 telecast by Regina Hopper and Brent Adams was the one and only time the pageant was “scripted,” with no real judging of finals night and a pre-written script with contestant placements already filled in before finals competition.
9. In 2020, Regina Hopper resigns, followed by the Board recognition of Gretchen Carlson several months later. Gretchen single-handedly passes on the leadership of Miss America to Shantel Krebs and announced her as CEO and Board Chair.
10. In late summer 2021, Shantel puts on a 100th Anniversary parade in a small Connecticut town, while the Miss America Foundation puts on a competing event in Atlantic City at the same time.
11. In Dec 2021, Shantel hosts the 100th Anniversary Miss America pageant in Connecticut, which will go down as perhaps the worst Miss America pageant in the history of the organization. This was also the first pageant not to be on television.
12. In Fall 2022, rumors swirl that Miss America is being sold. State EDs are all flown to Dallas for an all-expense paid weekend with new potential owner Jeffrey Hayzlett, who dreamed big for the future of Miss America back on television.
13. In Dec 2022, the Miss America Organization Board of Directors voted to sell Miss America to Robin Ross-Fleming.
14. In January 2023, Robin Ross-Fleming is announced as the new CEO of Miss America. Rumors swirl on the Voy message board that the real owner of Miss America is Glenn Straub. Google searches of Glenn Straub turn up horrible stories of his past.
15. Shantel Krebs tells members of the pageant community that if you want to know who really owns Miss America, to look up Glenn Straub. Robin-Ross Fleming tells the pageant community that she has enough money to run Miss America for the next 100 years.

And here we are today…..

I have been pretty objective throughout the lawsuit fiasco and have withheld judgement until now. I had really hoped Robin was on the up and up and that she would prevail in the lawsuit. Not anymore. Here’s why.

In the latest lawsuit that Robin filed against Glenn (103 pages by the way), Robin is now asserting that she did not take over the liability of the debt of the former MAO. In the lawsuit, it states. “While neither Fleming nor the Fleming Entities assumed the debts of MAO501C4, Fleming intended the Fleming Entities to resolve some obligations to preserve the reputation of Miss America and maintain necessary relationships.”

Wow. Just wow.

So you bought Miss America for $100 and that was it? You didn’t have to pay the 4.6 million dollars in debt? All that debt from the previous organization just goes away and you have no obligation to pay it? You are only going to pay some of it because you want to “preserve the reputation of Miss America and maintain necessary relationships”?

I really have no words. Lack of integrity at its finest. I’ve come to the conclusion that the sale of Miss America to whoever bought it was fraudulent. MAO had no intention of paying their bills and neither did Robin, even though she signed a paper saying she would take care of all the debt.

This just screams criminal to me at this point. This whole sale of Miss America now seems like it was done to magically make all the debt go away. Robin clearly thinks she is the owner and clearly thinks she was not responsible for the debt.

Just when you think we can’t go any lower…

Happy for once to be plugging someone else's worthy book! I think a lot of folks here would be interested the new memoir from Jane Little Botkin, the original “Guyrex Girl” (if you know, you know), who worked with the legendary pageant coaches a few years before they repeatedly conquered the Miss USA system. “The Pink Dress” centers on her attempts to become Miss Texas, but it’s also a more relatable tale finding one’s way as a young woman in the 1970s.

The Pink Dress: A Memoir of a Reluctant Beauty Queen .

Former customers of Robin? Mary Richardson from Mrs. International (where Robin competed for many years trying to won the title but eventually gave up after not placing for several years. Former employees of LCH? Even if money is awarded in a lawsuit, Robin will probably take the easy way out and file a BK. That would drag on for at least two years. There are too many people she has screwed over that would LOVE to get on the stand.

Your ascertion to the judge in #27 & 28 regarding the post here on 08/26 where the rumor (a word you left out) that "Robin's dates are December 27th-Jan 5th" is false. You claim that the timing "resonably suggest[s] Plaintiffs (Straub and/or his representatives) leaked Defendants' confidentially disclosed information..." Again, you are mistaken.

I know that because I'm the one that posted it.

In your Exhibit 4 from the 09/06/2024 filing, you show an email regarding the dates. In it your attorney states, "It has been a well-known fact to the operators of the Miss America organization for almost a year. The venue and dates were selected in October 2023...The dates are essentailly the same and were the only available dates when Ms. Fleming reserved them in October 2023."

Wait...THE VENUE AND DATES WERE SELECTED IN OCTOBER 2023??? Well that's interesting - that means you either lied to ALL 51 STATE DIRECTORS back in Orlando in January when you pretended you didn't have the dates for 2025. OR you are lying through your attorney in the email in Exhibit 4 where you say you knew the dates in October 2023. So which one is it? Did you LIE to us back then or are you lying in the email in your exhibit?

And to be clear, the rumors about the dates were flying around all over the place for a couple of weeks before I posted them. EDs were talking. I was waiting to see if I heard any other dates being thrown around. I didn't. So I posted what I heard - identified them as a RUMOR - which apparently were pretty accurate. And I can tell you this, I have never had so much as a single conversation in any way, shape or form with Glenn or ANYONE on his team. Ever. So maybe you should consider the idea that someone on YOUR team - past (you know, since it's been so well-known since October or 2023) or present - shared those dates outside your little circle.

And while we're at it, if you really have known those dates for almost a year, how crappy is it of YOU to not share them so people could at least mark them on the calendar?? You could have said you don't have hotels confirmed, blah blah blah, but you could have at least shared the dates. Once again, how selfish of YOU. Only worried about yourself, and never how your decisions affect others. I pray the judge sees you for exactly who you are as a person and a scammer.

On 9/5, the Bryan Cave Laughtin Paisner Law Firm filed a $900,000 Lawsuit against Robin/Glenn. The lawsuit claims fraudulent activity in the sale of Miss America from the MAO to Miss America Competitions LLC. The 900K bill is for the legal bills of when Gretchen and Regina were ruining (I mean running) Miss America.

Lawd have mercy!

Does anyone have the link to this? Apparently Robyn Kassgerji was on a podcast speaking about her situation and the restraining order but I’m not sure what it’s called. Does anyone have the podcast name or a link to it? I’m hoping she explains more in depth what the situation actually was.

It is so hard to get anyone to compete anymore, and our locals are dying. The numbers at state have been decreasing year after year. I have my assumptions of why, but what do you think the reasoning for this is?

I cannot find it now to link it but maybe someone else can. Earlier today on Yahoo, there was a story that had been reprinted from a magazine. I think the magazine was called Todo, but don't quote me on that. Anyway, the article was about Miss America fashion trends and it was incredibly detailed, and featured photos from the very beginning and even included some non-winners. So any of you who are into fashion might enjoy it if someone can find it and post a link. Now for the bad news........THE MISTAKES!!! For example how many of you knew that Halle Berry was second runner-up to Miss America? And what a surprise to find out that Caressa Cameron was the first Miss Virginia to win Miss America? Interesting article but I would not be surprised if there are other blunders.

But now I am back and reading such nonsense here again. I understand Glenn has his band of minions here posting stuff to create chaos and distrust but for those with a brain let's discuss: 1) It is no one's business where anyone "gets their money." Why do you think you are entitled to know how much money someone has? Or the source of someone's net worth? So immature. 2)Lawyers bring motions instead of producing documents when they think there is a legal argument to make on relevancy, immateriality, confidentiality etc. I listened to the hearing and Straub did not testify. if he could withstand a perjury charge by telling the truth uder oath one would assume he would have testified but he didn't so people can draw their own conclusions. There was reference to a deposition by his controller who stated under oath
