"Hi, DD!" CW chirps as she skips up the steps of the Shipperville Library with her handful of books for renewal. Rabid's companion is standing by the front doors of the building clutching a tray of breakfast goodies. There is a large hand lettered sign on the door just over the bookdrop slot.

ATTENTION SHIPPERVILLE RESIDENTS
LIBRARY CLOSED FOR STAFF TRAINING
Will Be Open Again on Wednesday.
THE MANAGEMENT

"WHAT?" CW yelps, "But I need to renew these books or they will be overdue. What the heck do they mean STAFF TRAINING? Aren't they already trained? I thought Librarians had to go to college. Hey,You sleep with her, can't you make her open the door and take my books. Please DD! Here I will just leave them with you and..."

DD backs away shaking his head in the negative and CW begins to tear up.

"OMG, I am going to have a FINE!!!" She cries out in despair, "I HAVE NEVER HAD A FINE IN MY LIFE!!!!!"

DD taps the fine print on the bottom of the sign with one knuckle and CW peers close to read the following message:

"No we will NOT come to the door for you. WE ARE CLOSED!!!!STOP YOUR RIDICULOUS KNOCKING. What do we care if your books are late? You should have paid attention to the library bulletins and read the frickin' signs that we had up all over the place, all frickin' month long. Or just listened when we told you at the front desk that we were going to be CLOSED. C-L-O-S-E-D, closed, as in NOT OPEN for you to drop off your books or just pick up ONE little video. Maybe you should go home and read one of the 1000 books at your house that you haven't read yet. And SO WHAT if you have a fine. Big deal! It's only a lousy 15 cents...get the Hell over it already!"

"Well, I NEVER!" CW hisses straightening up.

"Rabid says 'that's what they all say'," DD supplies quietly as CW storms back down the stairs with her unrenewed books under her arm. Tenatively the Librarian's sweetie taps on the glass of the front door.

"WE ARE CLOSED YOU #@$%&!!!!" A much loved and very p.o.ed voice bellows from within.

"It's me Sweetness," DD calls out gently, "I brought you your breakfast."

"Slide it through the bookdrop," Rabid snarls, "I am really busy in here."

DD complies and sadly walks back down the steps. He knows in his heart that Rabid has the bitchiness within her to win the Founder's Trophy but he wonders if it will all be worth it to her in the end.

who is off for a four day vacation in Sunny Florida, I will emerge with my float when I return. Meanwhile everyone have the "BITCHY" Fun!!! And Welcome Home, KANDE!
