Chapter 3: Circumstances

mv-"Ssh..." Her attacker finally let go of her mouth and she whipped around to see who it was.
Terina: "Talib! you scared the crap outta me!"
Talib: "What? You don't like being whisked away romantically?" he pretending to be offended.
Terina: "Okay, I've gotta use the bathroom, dumbass, so go home before they close the store."
Talib: "The guys already left. I was gonna look for you guys to get a ride"
Terina: "Well, I drove here separately. If you're looking for Nique, she just left," She smiled.
Talib: "Then guess who's driving me home?" he pointed out. Terina turned around, look angrily at him, and stormed off into the bathroom.
Talib impatiently paced in front of the bathroom door. He called in.
Talib: "Hey! Would you hurry it up just a bit?"
Terina: "Alright, let's get you home as soon as possible."
Terina and Talib headed out to the exit and had feeling that something wasn't right. There was nobody around. Talib tried the doors but found they were locked.
Terina: "Ohmygod! We're locked in here!?!" Talib didn't answer her until he tried all the doors.
Talib: "Yeah. We're locked in. I'll just call - dammit! My phone died”
Terina: "So I'm stuck in here overnight with YOU!?"
Talib: "Hey, I'm not too pleased that I gotta hang out with you either, c'mon"
Terina: "Where are we going?"
Talib: "Well, if we're gonna be trapped here, we might as well be trapped in comfort"
Terina: "Fine" they went back to the bedding section. Talib sat up and lay on his back on one of the showroom beds.
Talib sighed: "Ahh... This is the life."
Terina eyed him curiously. He was so childish. She knew he was cute, but she was sure that he knew it too and didn't need another groupie to provide to his needs. That was the main reason for her dislike towards him. He was hot and he knew it.
Talib lay on the bed, his hands under his head. He looked at Terina standing there.
Talib thought: ‘She needs to loosen up' He knew she was pretty but he also knew she didn't like him.
Talib reminded himself: ‘And he had Meg,' Deep down, he knew that if he wasn't with Meg, he would have gone after Terina. If she wasn't so serious and tense all the time. He had tried to get her to let loose a little by being playful, but she was still not letting her wilder side out.
Talib: "C'mon! It's comfortable!"
To his surprise, she lay down on the bed next to his.
Terina: "This is really nice" She admitted.
Talib: "See, I told you so" smiling to himself.
***************
Nique: "Hey sweetie," when she got home and called Lami.
Lami: "Hi baby. Where'd you go with your friends?"
Nique: "I was out with Star and Terina. We went to Ikea to get stuff for Star's new place."
Lami: "You were there?? So were we!"
Nique: "You were?! I only saw Talib and we had said hi, but then he walked off."
Lami: "Yeah, Nelly said he met up with a friend and would get a ride with them."
***************
Meg: "Where IS he?!" she hung up the phone. She had been trying to call Talib for the past hour but he wasn't home yet, and his voice mail kept picking up on his phone. ‘The batteries are probably dead,' she tried to convince herself but she couldn't shake the feeling that there was something to be worried about.
