 ~Robert kept an eye on the two, making small talk with Creighton. Also did he take note of Angus at the door who in turn kept eye on Robert, Benjamin and Jaden, and the room in general. Robert would laugh thinking the man has a thousand eyes.
Robert's main concern was Jaden who went over board in her attire to do the job, and the thought that maybe she would act on the lad's information on her own.

He must have been boring to Creighton just as much as Creighton was to him. Both men talked rubbish to the other.. and both giving respect in nodding their heads. The other could be talking in a foreign language and both would laugh right on cue like they were actual listening.

It seemed that Benjamin took the bait as she held his full attention, she was good.. even when in his opinion a slave trader sat down next to her, she pulled her pig sticker out under the table making sure the slaver saw it but not Benjamin. The salver decided it was healthier to find another place to be and moved.
Yes.. the Den was full of unsavory types, many of his crew were there. Spotting Gangrene talking to Alga trying to get into the back.. but Alga would not hear of it.
That's all Robert needed was for Gangrene spreading the itch here.. Hearing from Shebali about Gangrene's playing the Bloody Mary role.

Now Benjamin focused on Jaden.. oblivious to his surroundings, even when the slaver sat next to her. The lad was in love, perhaps in lust with Jaden. He had to ask her what she asked two times before he replied:: "Business? Yes.. Mr. Morley is helping me with me settling into WestWind, I'm expecting a shipment and would you believe his knowledge of sea travel? I mean a man in his position plotting course for me to send to my father.
And Mr. Morley's concern for the cargo my father brings, he seems more concern then even I do".

It was amazing that he even got that much out.. he would shift in his seat to compliment every lean Jaden did, perhaps to reclaim his view. The lad tried to keep his eyes on hers, but to ask him the color of her eyes he would not be able to recall, but ask him the type of button on her blouse he could. "Did you tell me your line of work Jaden, forgive me if you did"~
