Craig watched her, his large ears erect as he sat. The tip of his tail thumped the ground as she spoke. He was pleased that she would rather play along than scold him for his foolishness. He stood as she moved to the kitchen, his emerald gaze never leaving her slender figure. As she turned her back to him, he lowered his head and stalked forward, almost slinking as he ghosted up silently behind her. With ears still erect and alert, he reached out, snatching the edge of her towel in his teeth and leaping away.

He stood in the middle of the room, where his leap back had landed him, head high and tail slowly wagging as he held his prize between white teeth. His front legs were braced at shoulder width apart his rear legs slightly stooped and ready to counter any movement on her part. He dipped his head low, his ears remaining up. It was a playful challenge, with thick tail still setting a perfect metronome behind him.
