On every side of the yound Lord, those who died awoke from their so-called eternal slumber to the pale Sun spewing forth it nauseous light. But he did not halt to assist them or offer an explanation he did not have; his cobalt visage was afixed to the reeds of the marish terrain, moving swiftly from corner to corner of its range, assessing, searching. And then his steps faultered, bringing him to a stand-still as a pensive and slightly confused look played its way across his face. Golden brows bowed to the pools beneath, and the corners of once inactive lips twitched down. With such an expression, he strode decisively in the direction of whatever had caught his eye. Though as he drew nearer, blonde lashes started to move further apart to allow a better vantage to navy occuli and lips parted so forgotten breath could be drawn.

Pace quickened in apprehension and a mind clouded with inferences, he wasn't sure whether he knelt a-purpose or tripped over some outlying extremedy, the brave-faced fighter found himself in a genuflect-resembling stance aside the prone form of his sister. A trembling tenor whispered forth from his mouth, pleading with the motionless body as ghostly made an effort to pull her upright.

"Celefé? Oh gods, Celefé... what happened? How?... I never wanted this- any of this to happen..."

Coherency was lost in the murky well of his mind. The shock cost him much of the sensation beyond his waist, causing him to effectively somewhat sit on his heels. The momentum also heaved the deadweight of his sister to a position against his torso. There, the faintest fog of exhalation appeared on the chrome-toned surface of his breastplate, though the longevity of this encouraging sight had to be balanced with the generous quantities of precious blood seeping from the multiple scores across her flesh.

"I could've done better... could have protected you... Why not me?... its should have been, should be me..."

The shuttered sapphire orbs were now bleeding tears, transparent heralds of sorrow on ashen skin. One 'braced arm cradled a tawny head, its congruent supporting 'neath the shoulders. He hid his face in the tresses that curtained where armour stood aside skin, offering little contrast in temperature. Muffled sobs convulsed the delicate-appearing frame, scapuli quivering uncontrollably. Soundless, the restored congregated about him and his brethren, awaiting some occurrence they were unsure of.

When the lady arrived upon the outer edge of the circle, the rows swept aside to create a clear path the the centre. No one needed orders; the great power she radiated gave them a glimmer of hope for the life of their leader in spite of her outward appearance. From the destination of the gap, an oceanic eye, overbright with much grief, gazed out.

"Oh gods, can you help?"
