[ooc: hello! =D Niki here. XD this is JKell, right? o_O']![]() ![]() Max's eyes caught her hand as it settled on her hip holster and the muscles in his shoulders tensed, ready to react. But at his question she seemed to relax a bit and smiled instead. Shit, that was close. He thought to himself with an inward smirk. He wasn't on the run from anything, not at the moment anyway, but still. One could never be too cautious. Haha, now he just sounded paranoid. On the other hand, he didn't know how many "others" like him were here in Cascade, other "oddities", and what the general attitude towards them were. There certainly weren't many in Brooklyn where he came from and it wasn't something you wanted people to know about. Actually, you are in luck my friend. I happen to have some aspirin with me. 3 or 4? "Five." he thanked her as he took the bottle from her, tipped five tablets into his hand and returned it to her. Max looked at the tablets for a moment and smelled them. He then pocketed two and wolfed the rest of them down, remembered the cigarette that was dangling neglected from his fingers, and took another drag. "Hi, by the way. I'm Max." he smiled casually, stretching out a hand in greeting and finally taking a bit of time to have a look at who he was talking to. And damn was she fine-looking. Maybe he could delay the homecoming by a few more hours and get to know the lovely lady a bit, gun attached to her hip or not. Call him shallow if you must. It certainly beat going back to that dump he called an apartment and having two angry women whining at him for the rest of the day on why he hadn't come home. |
