Over their private time together Tarot had worked to loosen that chuckle from Zeth’s lips. He let it go now without hesitation. It flowed and filled the small bathroom space easily, landing on white porcelain here and there. The black and white checkered floor and the white towels tangled up the sound too, holding on it with some gusto. He turned the antique silver knob in his fist, pulling the door towards his chest. “You haven’t seen anything yet.” He mused. He was indeed proud of his home and it’s collection of art and tasteful furniture. But Tarot was right to be surprised. Who would picture a vampire living in the white luxury?

He moved into the hallway with its egg shell blue walls and it’s oversized ceramic tiles a soft gray but hinted with flecks of blue. He moved right, away from the extra bedrooms and baths, in the direction of the living room, kitchen, and dining room.

The kitchen sprang up and he slid into the granite countertop paradise with a flick of his finger for Tarot to follow. “Can I get you a drink?” He opened the industrial sized stainless steel refrigerator. It was well stocked wit fresh produce and cagefree eggs. It looked as though Martha Stewart had popped in for a visit and taken a moment to beautiful arrange the contents. He glanced over a few bottles of synthetic blood and moved on to the sweet tea, the soda cans, the bottled water, and the juices in their glass pitchers. “Juice…cola…sweet tea…” he rambled off the list but knew she was close enough to peer in for herself. His fingertips pulled the large pitcher of sweet tea from the shelve for himself. He moved across the stately kitchen and fetched a sky blue tinted tumbler. He poured it full before setting the pitcher on the counter and taking a drink. He looked at her expectantly.
